The 1940s were a glorious time for the sport of baseball, despite the fact that America went to War in the early 40s. Glove designs transformed from the smaller, workman-like gloves of the 1920s/1930s into the puffy, stubby, fat-fingered gems of the 1940s. These are some of the deepest pockets you'll find in baseball glove collecting, and also some of the most fun to actually take out and have a (vintage) catch with!
